On July 5^th , the open-source desktop operating system "openKylin 1.0" was officially released, marking China’s capability to independently select operating system components and build its own operating systems. openKylin 1.0 would be a domestic open-source operating system developed through open source code contributions from numerous developers. It gathered contributions from 3,867 developers, 74 SIG groups, and 271 enterprises in the community. The operating system would provide fundamental security support for key industries such as government, finance, telecommunications, energy, and transportation—sectors critical to national and public welfare.
